Four weeks of guest lectures for our Sound For Games & Apps students!

If you're obsessed by the latest technologies and have a keen interest in audio and gaming. The dBs Music Sound For Games & Apps degree is going to be a perfect choice! This month kicks off a series of weekly guest lectures for our Sound For Game students and sees some amazing industry leaders and legends visit the dBs Music campus in Bristol.
joe.white.jpgFirst up on Feb 13th is Joe White from Enzien Audio, experts in creating interactive, procedural audio tools for a variety of projects. They'll be delivering a masterclass and then working alongside dBs Music students in the Mac suites to develop ‘Heavy’ Pd Patches and work with the latest tools and technologies to implement them in the HTML and Unity. Next on February 20th, we have the mega-talent of Simon Ashby, co-founder of Wwise and creator of guru products for game audio, interactive music, 360 audio and more. Simon will be serving up his expertise and experience of cutting edge technologies directly to our students in a Guest Lecture around the new features of Wwise 360 audio features and the 3rd part plugin creation.

MatthewCollingsKrotos.jpgThe third week on the 27th February welcomes Matt Collings from Krotos to dBs Music Bristol. Krotos are developers of an incredible series of sound design tools, some of which were featured in our regular Free Software Friday feature on the blog and are amazing tools for both film and game audio specialists.
Finally on March 6th, we have the rock star of the tech meets music world, Peter Kirn. Founder of Create Digital MusicDJ, programmer and developer, Peter is a polymath of talent and a will be talking about the blurring lines between composition and engineering in the context of interactive audio. He will also be looking at Pd alongside Unity followed by Unreal and some new synthesis tools for composers and sound designers.
