Trying to wrap your head around applying for a master’s degree? We simplify the process into four easy steps.
If you’ve ever studied at undergraduate level, you will be familiar with UCAS and the need to apply through them to study at university. Thankfully, the application process is much simpler for postgraduate students and you apply directly to us at dBs Institute via our website.
To fast-track your application, here are the four key steps to applying for a postgraduate degree.
There are a few components needed to complete a postgraduate application.
You will need to write a personal statement to accompany your application. This helps us get a clearer idea of you as a creative individual and what you’d like to get out of studying a master’s degree.
Our guide on how to write an amazing personal statement is a fantastic resource to help nail everything we’re looking for.

After completing step one, you will have everything needed to submit your postgraduate application.
The next step is to head to your chosen course page, select your study options (full-time / part-time) and hit ‘start your application’.
You’ll see a pop-up box that asks you to select your campus of choice (where applicable) and after pressing ‘submit’, a button to ‘start your master’s application’. This will redirect you to Falmouth University’s application portal (MyFalmouth).

After making your application, you’ll receive an email from Falmouth University confirming that your application has been received.
Our admissions team will also email you to advise you on your interview and confirm when this is taking place.
You can choose in-person at our campuses, or online if you cannot attend in person.
We aim to make a decision within five working days of your interview, but this can take longer for more popular courses. The admissions team is your best point of contact for any updates on how your application is progressing.
Once we have made our decision, we’ll update you via the Applicant Portal and via email. You can accept your offer in the Applicant Portal.
