Using the same recording and mixing techniques as the original record, we re-created the iconic Amen Break drum break with legendary Roni Size drummer Clive Deamer.
The Amen Break is the most sampled drum break in history and has become an iconic and integral part of drum and bass and jungle culture. So, as a drumming and recording exercise, we invited Clive Deamer, who has played with Portishead and Roni Size, to dBs Institute’s Bristol Campus to help us recreate the original sound as accurately as possible.
