Keeping Bristol Moving: Motion's initiative to improve student wellbeing

Bristol's Motion nightclub is launching Keeping Bristol Moving; a new campaign that looks to encourage students to re-engage with clubbing and enjoy the positive effects of connecting on and off the dance floor.

You may remember a study conducted by Keep Hush earlier this year that revealed just 25% of Gen-Zs were interested in clubbing post-pandemic. When you couple this with the fact that many young individuals turned 18 during the pandemic, there's a huge amount of self-discovery through socialising that has been completely missed.

It's this missed 'rite of passage' that Motion wants to restore, especially after a recent study by the nightclub which found that 90% of students feel that clubbing helps them connect with people.

Booker at Motion, Travis Derrick said: ""With such a massive number of students recognising the importance of going out for their mental well-being, we want to make sure we're doing everything we can to make sure no one is missing out on the nightlife scene in Bristol (and beyond).

"Motion is such a huge part of the Bristol scene, but it doesn't come without the city's gems which many students will discover during the first years of university. We love Bristol and want to make sure that this year's intake of students, especially the ones that missed out on their early clubbing years, do as well."

The campaign will be made up of a series of pop-up events, innovative live streams, student promotions and giveaways, supported by an extensive curation of winter bookings. Motion has also launched its largest ever competition to win one of their coveted 'Dance Cards' - which gives the lucky winner guest list to any Motion/Marble Factory show up until 31st March, 2023 - as well as 2 x LSTD weekend tickets, 2 x Eldorado Festival tickets, 1 x Tokyo World Festival Saturday and Sunday ticket, 4 x The Blast Summer show of choice, 4 x YARD 2023, £100 bar tab at the event of your choice, £50 voucher to Jacobs (streetwear), 1 x cut at Jacobs Barber, £50 Pirate Studios voucher and £50 Oowee voucher.
