Bristol-based DJ and producer, Yushh (Jen Hartley) breaks down her hit track 'Same Same' and explains what it takes to start a record label.
Producing a track that is named one of Resident Advisor's tracks of the year is a pretty big accomplishment. Founding one of Bristol's most celebrated independent record labels is another. Yushh has achieved both of those.
Her 2023 single 'Same Same' was one of RA's best tracks for that same year, and she is the founder of Pressure Dome, a label that has been going strong since it's inception in 2019.
During her recent visit to dBs Bristol, Yushh took our students on a deep dive of her production process; breaking down 'Same Same', looking at the equipment she used in its creation, while also sharing her advice on what it takes to start a record label.
