Access Creative College and dBs Institute launch the Plymouth Ableton User Group

We're thrilled to announce the the Plymouth Ableton User Group, which is primed to launch its debut event on Wednesday 29th June, 7pm - 9pm.

The UK is home to almost 20 Ableton User Groups, but until now, there has never been one that is accessible to Cornwall and Devon. With such a rich electronic music scene, we're over the moon to launch the newest Ableton User Group in the city of Plymouth.

The Plymouth Ableton User Group aims to provide an inclusive hub for producers and musicians to meet up, share ideas and collaborate with each other. Our mission is to support and nurture creativity in our region. Everyone is welcome - even if you've never touched Live in your life!

To celebrate the launch of the user group, we'll be hosting the debut 'Sample Splash' event on Wednesday 29th June, 7pm - 9pm at the ACC/dBs Plymouth campus. The theme will pit producers against the clock, requiring them to produce some music from just five samples in one hour. The second hour will be spent listening to everyone's efforts and learning how each track was made.

Sounds like fun, right? It gets better. Ableton have kindly sent us of free goodies that we'll be giving out on the night.

As well as registering for the event, you can also join the official Facebook group and start forging new friendships with other creatives in the area.
