After hosting a fantastic Global Games Jam earlier this year, we've teamed up once again with Bristol Games Hub for the Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam. Here's all the details and how to get involved.
We're very excited to once again offer up our dBs Bristol centre to Bristol Games Hub for what is sure to be a fantastic games jam.
The games jam takes place at our Mitchell Lane campus from 6pm on Friday 16th August - when the theme of the games jam will be revealed - and finishes on Sunday 18th August at 7pm.
A little more low-key than January's Global Games Jam (GGJ), the games jam is open to anyone that is passionate about games and would like to share that love with the wider games community of Bristol. You can join in the fun in-person over the weekend or online and interact with the wider community via Discord.
While the weekend is all about having fun and making games, it's also a great opportunity to broaden your network in the games community. At GGJ24, first year BA (Hons) Game Art student Clara Uhlendorf collaborated in a team with Ground Shatter founder, James Parker, and as a result, was able to join the studio for a one-month internship this summer!
If you'd to get involved in the games jam, head to the Meetup page to secure your free spot and receive updates about the event. We look forward to seeing you there.
