dBs Institute alumnus Anaïs Jan looks back on an insane year that saw her perform on the stage to drum and bass fans across the world.
We couldn't be prouder of Anaïs, a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering alumni who studied at the dBs Institute Bristol campus, for what she achieved during her studies and since graduating.
While studying, Anaïs joined the Hospital Records Women In D&B mentorship scheme which led to her signing for the iconic drum and bass record label shortly after her graduation. Now one of the label stars, she has toured the world performing at clubs and festivals on three continents.
During a trip back to dBs Institute to deliver a guest lecture, she joined us for an interview to talk about her career since leaving dBs Bristol. We discussed signing to Hospital Records, seeing her music synced to EA FC 25, the best country she's played and what it felt like performing to over 30K people on Boomtown’s Origin stage.
