VIDEO: Alex Banks on taking your tracks from studio to stage

As part of the Ableton Education Tour 2020, producer and performer Alex Banks gave a detailed breakdown of his live setup, how he integrates Ableton Live into his sets and some top tips on taking your songs from the studio to the stage.

Alex Banks has been causing a stir in the electronic music world since his debut album 'Ruckus', which was released in 2014. Lauded with praise, the album saw Banks embark on a series of huge international shows, yet there was a desire to wipe the slate clean and start over.

Overhauling his studio, he set about redefining his creative process and began turning to analogue gear, vintage synthesisers and the unpredictable nature of the sounds they produced, a process that he continues to use to this day.

This change in approach is at the heart of Alex's masterclass as demonstrates how he brings his tracks to life onstage through the use of an expansive gear rig and Ableton Live. Make sure to check out the full live performance of his album 'Beneath The Surface' to see his setup in action.
